Marketing & PR Manager (New Street Group)

We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing & PR Manager.  Reporting in to the Marketing Director, you will plan and deliver high-quality marketing and PR activity to drive achievement of the firm’s strategic plans and priorities.

In your role, you will develop subject-matter expertise in our key specialisms, create thought leadership content and news announcements to establish us as a leading player in the industry. You will gain a deep understanding of the target audience, and lead, create and execute our content marketing strategy to enable sales demand and sales revenue pipeline.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include PR strategy and operations, multi-channel marketing campaigns and thought leadership initiatives, development of engaging content and distribution of content across the relevant social media platforms.

You will be our go-to specialist for all things PR, for your marketing campaigns you will have a range of best-in-class marketing tools and technology at your disposal. You’ll have the opportunity to develop expertise across various disciplines, and gain exposure to developing marketing strategies, including ABM and the use of predictive analytics.

You’ll be working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and there will be the opportunity to get involved with firmwide strategic marketing initiatives.

Over the next three years the business is looking to move towards providing integrated agile RPO/MSP solutions for clients who want to work in partnership with a provider who gives them an augmented service without losing control of the strategic imperative of resourcing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead on PR strategy and operations for the Group, including press office support, managing the appointed PR agency, commentary for journalists, corporate communications and crisis management.
  • General marketing and PR content creation including award entries, articles, blogs, press releases, byline articles and press statements.
  • Manage external speakership and sponsorship programme for key industry conferences and events.
  • Managing and executing strategically-led marketing and PR activity in a demand generation capacity to support the Group’s commercial objectives and sales strategy, delivering all activity within agreed budget and timescales.
  • Lead on major thought leadership and multi-channel campaign initiatives (strategy, campaign design, research, authoring and editing content); offering subject-matter expertise in recruitment and HR consulting issues and an understanding of clients’ challenges.
  • Collaborating with the senior digital marketing executive to design and execute automated marketing nurture programmes.
  • Robust approach to measurement, setting marketing KPIs, tracking of marketing activity, measuring ROI and impact on sales revenue pipeline.
  • Support the development of the business’s ABM strategy and other major firmwide strategic initiatives, including development of the Group’s brand positioning and service proposition messaging.
  • On-going collaboration with colleagues to generate news, insight and case-studies to showcase our expertise.
  • Managing external marketing agencies, commissioning content-writing to SMEs, and using in-house resources to create high-quality campaign assets and content.
  • Project management of major external firm events/seminars with the support of practice coordinators and admin assistants.
  • Responsibility for supporting the function’s research accountabilities including on-going competitor analysis, market analysis and customer insight.
  • Providing ad hoc proofreading and editing support to marketing function and business teams.

The candidate

  • Degree educated or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a professional services/consulting business.
  • Proven experience working across marketing and PR (either agency or client-side).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organise and plan own work.
  • A strategic thinker, possessing a high-level of initiative and self-motivated.
  • Strong copy-writing expertise.
  • Experience and understanding of demand generation strategies and their execution – including nurturing programmes and ABM.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including proof reading skills with the ability to maintain a high-level of accuracy.
  • A flexible, proactive approach to work with a focus on delivering successful outcomes and marketing ROI.
  • There is currently no management responsibility for this role, therefore experience of managing and leading a team is currently not essential.
